Why choose a motorcycle bodywork decal kit?

The decorative kit for motorcycle fairing can totally change the look of your motorcycle. This allows you to personalize your motorcycle so that it looks like no other!

The decorative kit decals and adhesives for fairings are easy to apply. Whatever the size or surface of the fairing, the process remains the same. Below you will find a tutorial to help you properly apply your decorative kit for your motorcycle. Discover how to apply your fairing decals:

To install your decorative kit for fairings, you will need:

Of patient (much)
One day to install your decorative kit
Soapy water or alcohol to thoroughly clean your support
Gloves (if you have delicate hands)
Cleaning cloths/paper towels
A good pair of scissors

Tips before installing your decorative kit:

First of all, here are the precautions to take:

Prepare a full day for the installation of your decorative kit 🙂
Sort the decorative kit parts by each side of the motorcycle to find them more easily later
Ensure the fairings are clean and smooth.
Clean and degrease each fairing with soapy water/alcohol. Do not use WD40 or other silicone-based products.. The fairings must be perfectly clean to apply the stickers.
Do not handle stickers from the adhesive side.
If the decorative kit is not installed immediately, it must be stored away from sunlight and humidity
When fitting, choose a heated room with a minimum temperature of 15°C, sheltered from wind and dust. It is also possible to heat the fairings before applying the decorative kit to ensure good adhesion of the decals. A temperature that is too cold will not allow optimal adhesion of the decorative kit's decals.
After application, avoid contact with cold and moisture for 72 hours to ensure proper adhesion.

Application of the décor kit stickers:

Before sticking the decals, you need to cut them out and pull them between the right and left sides of the motorcycle so you don't get lost.

Next, position the "white" pieces in front of each plastic piece to see how to position each sticker.

Remove the adhesive from its backing and stick it from one side to the other, expelling air as you go. If you encounter difficulties during application, feel free to heat the decals with a (powerful) hairdryer or heat gun to make them more pliable. Be careful not to overheat!

Take your time to apply your decorative kit straight. Do not hesitate to peel off and reposition a decal if it is not well placed. You can use your fingers and the squeegee to remove air bubbles.

For easier installation on certain fairings, we advise you to remove the part if possible. Then repeat the previous operations.

Finalization of the décor kit:

Once the decorative kit is applied to all the fairings, you can heat each decal to activate the adhesive and ensure cohesion with the support. Be careful not to burn the decals! If air bubbles are still present, you can prick them with a needle, then heat the bubble and it will disappear.

Allow 48 to 72 hours for maximum sticker adhesion, allowing the glue to bond with the surface.
